Instantly Pricing Explained: Is It Worth the Monthly Cost?

Instantly splits into three separately billed products. Here is what a working setup actually costs, and the infrastructure spend the plan price never covers.

Most teams evaluating Instantly start from the $47 figure on the pricing page. That number is real, but it buys one of three products, and it is rarely the largest line on the invoice by the time a campaign is actually sending. The cost that decides whether outbound is profitable sits mostly outside the sequencer.

This breaks down how Instantly's billing is structured, what each tier genuinely allows, and the infrastructure spend that no sequencer subscription includes. Pricing here was verified in July 2026; always confirm current numbers on Instantly's site before buying.

Three products, three invoices

Instantly is not one subscription. It is a sending engine, a lead database, and a CRM, each priced on its own.

Outreach is the part most people mean by "Instantly": connect mailboxes, build sequences, schedule follow-ups, and handle replies in a unified inbox. It runs in three tiers that scale by stored contacts and monthly send volume.

Credits is the B2B contact database, formerly SuperSearch. It is a separate monthly subscription, and it bills whether or not you run campaigns that month.

The CRM adds deal stages, calling, and touchpoint logging beyond email replies, at another monthly fee per account.

The practical consequence is that the headline price describes a solo operator who brings an external list and handles replies manually. Any setup that also wants data and pipeline tracking inside the product is buying three subscriptions, and the table above shows how quickly that compounds.

What each Outreach tier actually allows

"Unlimited mailboxes" is the phrase that does the most work on the pricing page, and it is the one worth reading past. The binding constraint is not how many accounts you connect, it is how many contacts you can store and how many messages you can send.

Growth ($47/month, about $37.60 billed annually) allows 1,000 stored contacts and 5,000 sends per month. That ceiling arrives faster than it sounds. Ten secondary mailboxes sending a deliberately conservative 25 emails a day is 250 a day, which reaches 5,000 in about 20 days. Growth also leaves out A/B testing, so you send one version of your copy to the whole list, which is both worse for learning and worse for looking human to a filter.

Hypergrowth ($97/month, about $77.60 annually) raises the limits to 25,000 stored contacts and 100,000 monthly sends, and adds the parts a working team needs: A/B variants, the unified reply inbox, sub-user permissions, and the fuller analytics. This is the realistic floor for a team rather than an individual.

Light Speed ($358/month, about $286.30 annually) goes to 100,000 contacts and 500,000 monthly sends, and adds server and IP sharding so traffic is distributed across separate infrastructure. For an agency, that isolation matters: it keeps one client's deliverability problem from spreading into another's campaigns.

The costs the subscription does not cover

A sequencer is an application layer. It orchestrates sending; it does not supply the domains, mailboxes, or clean data that sending requires. This is where outbound budgets usually break.

You should never run cold campaigns from your primary corporate domain. A wave of complaints against your apex domain does not just hurt the campaign, it starts putting your invoices, internal threads, and investor mail in junk folders. So you buy separate outbound domains that resemble your brand, and mailboxes on them.

At a typical 20-mailbox configuration, that means roughly ten domains at ₹1,000 to ₹1,200 each per year, which amortizes to about ₹1,000 a month, and twenty Workspace seats at about ₹600 each, which is ₹12,000 a month. Verifying 15,000 sourced contacts a month at ₹0.15 to ₹0.20 each adds roughly ₹2,250.

The ₹12,000 in mailbox seats alone is several times the software subscription. If you are modelling whether outbound pays for itself, the sequencer is close to a rounding error against the infrastructure underneath it.

Why unmetered sending has a reputation cost

There is a structural point here that is easy to miss and worth stating plainly, because it is a property of flat-rate pricing rather than a criticism of any one vendor.

When sending costs the platform money but costs you nothing extra per message, the platform has to control its own margins somewhere. In practice that usually means routing large volumes through cost-effective shared relay infrastructure. Shared IP pools blend the reputation of every sender on them.

Unmetered pricing also selects for the heaviest senders, including those mailing large unverified lists. When those senders generate bounces and complaints, the penalty attaches to the shared infrastructure, and it reaches you even if your own authentication is correct and your list is clean. Filters additionally fingerprint the platform itself, through tracking pixels, redirect hostnames, and header patterns, so a sending application's aggregate behaviour can influence how your individual mail is treated.

None of this makes flat-rate tools unusable. It does mean that "unlimited sending" is not free of consequences, and that sender reputation is partly something you inherit rather than entirely something you build.

How the metered model differs

RepMail prices the other way: one credit is one sent email, with no platform fee, and purchased credits never expire. Rates run from ₹0.13 per credit at the 3,000 minimum down to ₹0.10 at the largest volumes, and every tier including the free trial carries the full feature set, so capability is not withheld until you upgrade.

Because there is no monthly reset, a month spent warming a new domain or cleaning a list costs nothing rather than burning a subscription. Sending runs natively on AWS SES rather than through connected mailboxes, so there is no OAuth token to lapse mid-campaign, and bounce and complaint events arrive in real time through AWS SNS for immediate suppression.

The honest framing is that neither model wins on price alone. Steady, predictable, high-volume sending is well served by a flat rate. Variable volume, or a team that wants sending capacity decoupled from headcount, generally wastes less on consumption pricing.

So is it worth the monthly cost?

If you are a solo operator with your own list who mainly needs sequencing and a shared reply inbox, Growth at $47 is straightforward value, provided 5,000 sends a month is genuinely enough.

If you need data and pipeline tracking in the same product, price the full stack, not the headline, and compare that against buying data and sending separately. And whichever tool you choose, budget the domains, mailboxes, and verification honestly, because that is where most of the money goes and where deliverability is actually won or lost.
